Trinity Church is located at 206 Clarendon Street, on the western edge of Copley Square in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood. Trinity Church's story begins in downtown Boston in 1733, when the parish was established near the Boston Common. The congregation worshiped in two earlier buildings before the Great Boston Fire of 1872 devastated the South End and accelerated the decision to relocate to the newly developed Back Bay.

- 1885 — La Farge adds "The Wise Virgin" window for the Parish House — one of his most celebrated works.
